What do you guys think? IThank you so much! I am hoping my emphasis on female leadership in my essays (I chose a unique topic) and my Costume Drive helps me a little bit. Thanks again!

Upenn is a reach for everyone but I think you have a fair chance. Trying to bump you ACT might make you a bit more competetive but I think Upenn or any top tier school isn’t too far for you.

No one on CC can tell you an accurate chance.

Just apply and find out, don’t get hung up on what people tell you on an internet forum.

That being said, I know an incoming freshman at UPenn who didn’t have as much EC’s as you have and they weren’t special by any means and still got in.

Good luck!

@stanfordswag thank you so much that is so relieving. I just gotta take a breather!! I hope you the best in all of your searches

Given your ACT score, its a huge reach. I would get it up to around a 34 to try to be more competitive.

Your gpa seems to be very good, but your SATIIs and ACT dont exactly match… Without 750+ SAT Subject tests and 33+ act UPenn will probably see your HS as not being very rigorous. Either way, your application is strong. UPenn is a reach for everyone, but I wish you all the best.

Only thing I see hindering you is the SAT and ACT.

I wouldn’t even bother sending in SAT II scores (I’m not sure if UPenn requires them)

You’re really well rounded, have incredible leadership, and have great school spirit. Even if you don’t get NHS President, I honestly wouldn’t worry about it. At this point, it would just add sprinkles onto the cake. Your EC’s are above average. I’d give them an 8.5/10. (10 being a writer of a famous book, Carnegie Hall Player, Olympian etc…)

Although GPA and ECs look great, your test scores are the hindrance.

UPenn for now is between a High Reach/Reach.

ED with a 34-5 may turn out to between a Reach/Low Reach (Tipping closer to a Reach)

But please keep in mind… Upenn is a Reach for everyone.
