hey, you have a really solid record! You sound a lot like me, actually, what with being editor of lit mag and all that jazz. My only suggestion is you raise your scores a bit. I mean, high 600's are definitely great, but the Math IC score made me go "eesh!" I think you definitely have a fighting chance, though! Good luck!

As for visiting...I just think that the campus was definitely an important factor in my decisions. So many schools look good on paper, but in person I would get really bad vibes from them. Just try to see if you could really spend four years of your life there. That said, I wish you all the best!

LOL i know. but i feel guilty for sometimes associating the school with the tour guide. For example, I looooved the Yale tour guide, so I became enamored with Yale. Meanwhile, the Columbia tour guide struck me as really condescending and harried, and as a result Columbia lost points with me. I know, i know, that's terrible b/c the tour guide may have just been in a bad mood, but...I can't help it, it's just an impression and it sticks.

Yea I know; I think that happens to everyone and it's not something that can really be helped. I really liked my Tufts tour guide though. It's all luck, I guess.

LOL I had a quasi-crush on mine! He was awesome, a really cute comedy student that did sketch-comedy shows and was all "YOU HAVE TO LIVE IN TILTON!" Which is what originally made me consider freshman housing; then I decided I liked Tilton better b/c it's downhill and smaller and all that jazz...why am I still talking? How could anyone still possibly be interested in this? hahaha

thanks guys for ur advice and quickness! buirinka do u mind telling me ur stats..gpa, sat, ect?

i know my sat II for math was HORRIBLE i was extremely shocked i had taken a practice on and received a 770 so I thought it would be no problem..boy was I wrong

lol he was really cool. if you know him, tell him that he was what convinced me that Tilton was better than Houston :-D

pepgirly - haha don't worry about it, i got much higher scores on practice tests too. and sometimes practice tests are a lot easier than the real thing.
