chances Wharton transfer Thanks

<p>I'm considering a transfer to Wharton and would like to know how competitive I would be.</p>

<p>College GPA: 3.7
Mediocre State School<br>
H.S GPA: 3.7 SAT: 1930 (retaking this Jan.)<br>
Econ Major</p>

<p>ECs:<br>
1. Red Cross Club: Founder/President<br>
2. College's Hall Council: Finance Representative<br>
3. Entrepreneurs Club: Secretary (Freshman Year)<br>
4. Business Club: Active Member (Freshman Year), Treasurer (Grade 12)
5. Model UN: Undersecretary of Finance (Grade 12), Best Delegate Award<br>
6. Democrats Club: Secretary </p>

<p>Work Experience:
1. Finance Intern at Major Insurance Company over summer<br>
2. Intern at Hedge Fund </p>

<p>Awards/Honors:
1. College Presidential Scholarship
2. American Red Cross Scholarship
3. High Honors Graduate (ABC High School)
4. AP Scholar with Honor</p>

<p>Recommendation:
1. Writing Professor: Good
2. Econ Professor: Good </p>

<p>Essays: Good</p>

<p>you can look at it this way</p>

<p>a 3.7 is not good enough for students who are trying to transfer from the college at penn into wharton… (typically about a 3.8 required, and gpa is the only criterion there)</p>

<p>and the standard is higher for external transfers</p>

<p>I think tenebrousfire is being too generous. There’s no way you could get in as a regular applicant with those stats and external transfers into Wharton is even harder…</p>
