Chances with greatly improved SAT's? Add new schools?

I got my Dec. 2 SAT scores today and every score improved considerably, so I was wondering what my updated chances were, and if I should add any schools with my new scores.

Stats:

Senior, White male from CT
GPA: 95.6 W, 87 (apx) UW
Around 3.85 W, 3.3 UW, as far as I know
Rank: 95/538
(Not too good, I know. If it means anything, which I doubt, a GPA 4 or so points above mine is ranked in the 20's, so I'm not way behind the top 5%)

Not as many AP courses as I should have taken, but my course schedule has always been very demanding with L4/Honors courses.

SAT Reasoning:
730 CR, 690 M, 800 WR
1420/1600, 2220/2400

SAT Subject:
710 Lit, 630 Math II

EC's, etc:
Project Lead the Way, Project Discover (gifted/talented program), Concert Band (9th), Jazz Band (9th), Boy's State, Freshman/JV Lacrosse, DECA, Student Govt, Capital Area Math Team/NE Math League, active member of church entire life, Mensa, rec league sports every year, held a job for several years.

I won't go into too much detail, but had several "self-started" business ventures over the years, making thousands on eBay, computer repair, etc. Not sure if colleges will care though.

Community Service:
Relay for life, NYC soup kitchen week long trip, Katrina relief week long trip, Americares Homefront, Red Cross blood drive, ALS walks, donated money from a business venture to muscular dystrophy research.

Here is my list of schools previous to my new SAT scores (going for Finance or Entrepreneurship):

Reach/goal:
NYU Stern (farther reach)
Boston University

Goal/Match:
Northeastern
Babson

Match/Safe:
Uconn
Fordham
Bentley
Saint Johns (Queens)

How do I stand with these schools? Also, does anyone have any ideas (don't worry about time) for any new schools I should add? I'm looking for a fairly large school in or near a city in the New England area and with a good business program. I'm open to all suggestions, even if it only meets some of the above qualities, I don't mind going far from home.

I've really only been doing research by where I had a shot at with my old scores, so I haven't looked deeply into many higher level schools than these. Any input on new schools or my chances with these others would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly don't know how big of a reach it would be, but I would consider adding schools like Tufts, Boston College, or William and Mary to your list.

I think you are in at all of those schools except for maybe Stern

Thanks for the input. Tufts and W&M don't really have the types of programs I'm looking for, but BC seems like it does. If I can get the application and letters out in time (1/1 deadline), I may apply there.

Does anyone know if colleges see the essay score when College Board sends them the score report? If so, do they value a 600 with a 11 essay more than a 700 with an 8 essay (etc)?

This is assuming it is a college that uses the writing section, somewhat at least. I know I have seen several colleges that clearly say "We use the writing section for admission" even though some colleges don't care much about it.

St. Johns is a safety

Anyone know what kind of shot I have at Stern/BC (if any at all) or have any other suggestions for schools? I can still manage to make the 1/1 deadlines most likely if I rush scores, transcripts, etc.

Thanks for any input.

You certainly do have a shot....I would spend the money and apply. You can never tell, though, with those two schools. Good Luck!

By the way, those who like both Finance and Entrepreneurship, more times than not, end up going into Financial Advising.

Yeah thats one of my possible career goals. I'm pretty interested in a stock market oriented career as well, and a banking or CEO type job would be great.

Any more input?

you'll definitely get into BU.

NYU Stern: high match/slight reach
Boston University: safe match
Northeastern: safety
Babson: match
Uconn: safety
Fordham: safe match
Bentley: safe match
Saint Johns (Queens): safety to the extreme
