I really want to transfer into Villanova !!
I am currently a student at Wake Forest University.
I am in a sorority and I also participate in the Student Union.
I attend RUF (a christian group).
I have a 3.6 GPA.
I took all honors and AP courses in high school and landed around a 3.7 gpa

GPA: 3.6
EC: Student Union (student-sponsored event committee), RUF (christian group), and i’m in a sorority. I plan/hope to get more involved with volunteer work this semester.

i just don’t feel like i belong at wake. i feel out of place. i know you aren’t supposed to base your decisions on anyone else’s opinions but your own, but i came because my parents both spoke so highly of it. their opinion had a huge influence on my decision. i came to wake and i just didn’t feel that college excitement. i didn’t feel that “feeling” everyone talks about. however, i visited a friend at nova and as soon as i stepped onto campus i had this “feeling” come over me and i couldn’t help but smile. i knew that was where i should be. i don’t wanna settle on my college experience. i want to spend what are supposed to be the best years of my life at a school that i am happy at. i want to go to a school i feel at home at, not one where i count down the days until i get to leave. in addition to these feelings, i am beyond homesick being so far away from my home. nova is much closer to where i live. i know i would feel more comfortable there in every sense of the word because i felt that comfortability the second i stepped onto campus.

I think that you should apply and also contact the admissions office. Tell them how you feel about the school. You seem like a solid student and in my experience, even if a students scores are not exactly on target with the “average” sat scores, a students desire to go might give you the extra bump that you need. I also feel, as a mom, that a student will excel at a school that they are happy at. Good luck and I really do hope that you get in:)

dnt6592 - Thank you for your honest response. They are both beautiful schools, but in very different ways. If you truly want to transfer, I agree with AreWeDoneYet. Contact the school and let them know how much you want to go there. Good luck!

dnt, do you live close enough to Villanova to visit? It might be a good idea to sit in on an information session, even if you have in the past and afterwards speak with the AC. I have found that at almost every college we have ever visited (and it has been many, this is the last out of 3) that someone from admissions is always happy to speak with you. Give it a shot, you have nothing to lose. Good luck and let us know how it turns out:)
