im a junior at the rank 89 public school in the nation

im in the top10% of my class

i have a 3.95 unweighted, 4.4 weighted gpa

im hopefully going to be Treasurer on ASB next year

i have 2 years of varsity soccer, hopefully 2 years as captain

3 years of club outside of school, 1 year as captain

im going to coach an AYSO u10 soccer team next year

i have 40~50 hours of community service each year

i am an officer in a club, and i plan on becoming an officer in another next year, and starting my own (ultimate frisbee so idk if that counts hahah)

umm im in national honors society too

thats about it i think so...

what are my chances?! and what can i do to improve my app/ensure admission? thanks!

i would be pretty surprised if you didnt get in, even for the tougher majors. really all you can do at this point is right good essays and and finish your 2nd semester off strongly grade wise

You should be able to get in! But the bad news is that next year is going to be worse than this year. Since SAT II is no longer required starting next year which means more OOS students and I think there will be more budget cuts so less admission spots But UCSB should be a match and below. you have a great shot at SB! But as far as LA, SD, Berkeley goes… hm.

@helpmepleasee yea well ucsb is definitely my #1 cause its sickkk i visited last week and i wanna do like a pre-health thing and try to get a high gpa here and have fun instead of struggle for an avg gpa at ucla/sd (which i dont even think ill get in to) so yea thanks haha

thanks jack! yea im looking at all A’s this semester its been easier so yeah…

wud u recommend retaking the sat and focusing on reading?
