Chances?

Hi, first time posting on CC and I appreciate any help.

I’m applying for ASU. I’m from MN so it will be out of state.

GPA: 2.8 cumulative. I slacked off my freshman and sophomore years with a 2.4. Brought it up junior year to 2.8 cumulative (3.5ish for junior year alone), plan to make it around 3.0 cumulative with a good senior year, too. I hope they cut me some slack if I show a dramatic upward trend.

ACT: 26 first attempt, will be taking it again. I am going to shoot for a 28.

Coursework: 4 honor courses, and 2 AP classes my senior year.

Additional Info:
Football (2 years)
15-20 hours of Community Service.

Thanks in advance to any answers.

Also, for clarification, the 4 honors classes is the amount I have taken total, not the amount I’m taking my senior year.

Its not very hard to get into ASU. They have 4 requirements but you only need to meet ONE to get in. Your ACT will be more than enough, however I will warn you it is expensive and you won’t get much in terms of scholarship.

However in terms of getting in, you are in, dont worry about it

You can get into ASU, but getting into the individual colleges might be difficult. If you want to major in business or engineering I don’t think you have a very good chance of getting into those colleges.
