I'm from Ohio (sort of, parents and stepparents are/were military) and I HAVE to get out of here. :)

Harvard, Brown, and Rice are 3 schools I'm interested in (so far)...

Major in Environmental...Science/Biology/Health

GPA: 4.0 unweighted

Class Rank: 6/260 (approx. 260, I can't remember exactly)

Courses: Honors math and science since freshman yr., with a plan to take Envi. Science, Anatomy, Spanish IV, AP Calc, AP English, Advanced physics, and Honors Chem II senior yr. (yes we only have 2 AP classes and no IB). I also took Intro to Sociology (as a sophomore) and Western Civilization I and II (as a junior) through a local college.

Work Experience: I've been babysitting since 8th grade and I started working at a movie theater in October and plan to keep the job until I graduate, or maybe even see if I can transfer it to the Houston location if I go to Rice.

Community Service: I'm not sure exactly how many hours I have now, but at the end of my sophomore yr. I had 70+. I've done service through clubs, for projects, for my church and I'm employed by the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks as a naturalist volunteer (since April 2011). I plan to do more service this summer and will probably apply to volunteer at COSI (Center of Science and Industry).

EC: Key Club (since sophomore yr.) plan to run for an office for senior yr., Spanish Club (since sophomore yr.) & we don't have officers, Science Olympiad (did it sophomore yr. but we didn't have enough team members to compete) went to regionals this yr. and placed but not in the top (however I plan to next year), National Honor Society (plan to run for an office)

Scores: 29 on ACT (taking it this April 14th again; I didn't even know what subjects were on it the first time and I didn't prepare at all)

I have only visited Rice so far: the campus is beautiful and my dad lives in San Antonio so I would be close to him and the weather is great.
