Your stats seem pretty good to me for the universities you mentioned (although I’m no expert on the French system =P) If you have time try boosting your SAT score as I think that may let you down. If u manage to elevate that to around 2000 I think you would be competitive.

thanks i m gonna try to improve that Cr section

I can recommend “the Official SAT Study Guide” by Collegeboard. The enormous amount of practice questions really helped me personally

got it! thanks

I boosted my grades by 260 points in about 1 month. I recommend (emphasis!) to get the Official SAT Study Guide (Blue Book) by College Board, do all the practice tests, all of them. For writing buy the Ultimate Guide to SAT Grammar by Erica Meltzer. Read, highlight, summarize, make notes (I made 2 pages for the grammar rules) and do all exercises! It will really help you, this year I got a 800 in the Writing portion (normally I would score ~550, then practiced, got 690, retook it and got perfect score. also I’m a foreigner).

For Critical Reading the hardest part for us foreigners I would say is the vocab questions so I would definitely recommend reviewing/learning vocab words. If you have an iphone, I recommend getting the SAT Word Slam app. It helped me remember the words faster and the words they teach you are the ones that appear the most in the SAT. For the passage reading questions, DEFINITELY ALWAYS go to the questions before reading the passage and look quickly for questions specific to certain parts of the passage (ex. “in line 57”), then if the question asks you about a word in the line (in this case line 57), UNDERLINE IT. If a question asks you about a couple of lines in the passage, draw a line from where the section starts to where it ends. When you have done this, THEN go read the passage until you get to one of your marks. When you do, pay more attention to what you’re reading. After you have finished that section, go to the question and answer it. After answering it, go back to the passage and continue to read until you get to another marked section. Lastly, answer the remaining questions which are usually the general ones “what was the main theme/message/etc of the passage.” This way is better because by answering the specific questions first you are well aware of what the passage is about.

Lastly for math, I recommend watching youtube videos of people answering the math questions (search SAT math question) AND most importantly write on a single white paper ALL the equations you are having trouble with. After watching these videos, and doing the math questions from the Blue book (above) while looking at your equation notes, you will be doing much much better on the math section. Normally before I started studying this way, I got ~570 in the math section. Well I took the SAT twice, the first time I got a 710 and the second one 740. Not perfect but just so you know I only got 1 incorrect answer and omitted one.

Hope this helped you somehow. Feel free to ask me any questions you might have! :)
