I think your chances are good. Not a sure thing, but you have very strong grades, success in AP courses and exams, and decent EC’s. The fact that your SAT is a little on the low side is, I think, offset by the fact that you are a first generation college attendee. And it isn’t that low anyway, just a little under the 25% for Tulane. Intended major isn’t a big factor at Tulane, for a variety of reasons. So that doesn’t help or hurt you.

I suggest you apply EA or SCEA, and that you do a fair amount of research on Tulane before writing the Why Tulane essay.
