chances?

Hey. I live in North Carolina.I have a 4.0 W GPA and a 3.4 UW. I'm a junior this year so next year I can get my first semester averaged into my GPA so I can bring my W GPA up to about a 4.15-2. This year I only took 2 ap classes which I feel awful about so next year to try to fix it I'm taking 4.

Class rank: 126/582
SAT: I'm going to try to get a 1350-1400

EC
active in my church youth group, mission trip to ky, mission trip to costa rica this summer, leadership camp this summer, key club, interact, deca, room-in-the-inn (community service; socialize with the homeless), I'm planning on getting a job this summer. I'm also planning at volunteering at my local hospital. I'm considering starting a club next year; interior design boy scout explorer program

ok classes of substance...I ommited some of the others...

freshman year
hn-world history, english, geometry; adv-biology; spanish 1

sophmore
hn-civics and econ, algebra 2, english; adv-chem.
spanish 2 (I got a c...will that impact things...I'm trying to make up for it...see senior year)

junior
AP environmental science
AP english
Precal hn
US hist adv.
Psych/sociology-semester classes

Senior year (kicking it up a notch from junior year)
ap gov't
ap psych (it really interested me and the other class was only 1 semester)
ap stat
ap english
spanish 2 (to regain that base)
spanish 3

so what are my chances? I know that if I was in-state I could get in but I'm not so sure being out-of-state and all..

1350/1400 sat...is that out of 1600 or 2400 o.O? cause if it's out of 2400, out of state doesn't look too good. Your gpa seems fine for UW, courseload is good. I think you stand a good chance.

it's out of 1600. thanks for replying.

I have a feeling that with the new admissions review system (holistic, rather than just by-the-numbers) it will be very difficult to predict odds for acceptance to UW, especially for out-of state students.

Why do you want to go there? How will you communicate this to the admissions office? I suspect "pretty campus" isn't enough.
