any feeback will be appreciated =) thanks

I think that you should try definitely boosting your SATs and SAT IIs. Your GPA is most def pretty good, and your extracurriculars is alrigt, as well. I would say you def. got a shot

Looks like you meet the minimum - good grades, acceptable SAT scores (though they could be higher). Why would Duke admit you from the several thousand people who also meet the minimum? Think about it. You need something to show that says "I'm more than the bare minimum", and you're not going to find it by doing 13 APs instead of 11 APs or getting another 30 points on your SATs.

-_-' how do you get a 4.9

I say you need to up the SATs

honestly, I say that 11 APs is a very decent amount. I think 13 is a little bit over board. I have 8 along with 2 distance learning classes.

musings, but you got WL but you got in XP

ok, so musings, i'm going to go ahead and say that you have got a CC stalker :) And wonwon, I'm sure that musings wasn't waitlisted because he ONLY took 10 AP classes.

Anyway, I have nothing truly enlightening to add to what's already been said. I write this in basically every chances post I reply to, but really work on your essay, because it says a lot about your character. I applied ED and was deferred, but when my guidance counselor called the admissions office to ask about me, one of the first things that they said was that they enjoyed my application, especially because of my strong and interesting essay.

Also, an SAT boost wouldn't hurt

I think APs are important, but they certainly are not the only factor in the admissions process. I had 7 APs when I got in.

what is your ethnicity? hometown? family wealth? these things do factor in, and in your case, may be the determining factors.

i'm white, born and raised in miami, florida...from a very competitive public high school...from an average, middle class family. i've wanted to come to this school since 5th grade, hopefully i have a decent shot with some good recs...

lmao seahorse... just one thing, I'm a girl

and. I think it would be beneficial if you did something that really interested you over the summer. If you can show your passion in something, that really helps.

@ seahorse.
How am I a CC Stalker when I know HER in real life? -.-;;

haha wonwon, it was a joke... I don't know either of you in real life, so I don't know that you know one another. For all I know, you looked at HER (:)) post history and saw that she doesn't speak korean and got waitlisted.

And my apologies, musings... my writing tends to be a little on the male chauvinist side, i guess... mostly since my senior year high school english class, when I was finally corrected regarding the use of them instead of he/she... anyway, yeah.

I always feel weird posting something somewhat random like this without anything special to contribute to the original post, but in this case I'll make an exception. :)

bumpbumpbump

bummmmmmmmmmmmmmp come on guys lol
