Hello
I go to Phillips Exeter academy and our scale is out of 11.(most people that get ivies have above a 10.) I did really poorly my freshman year, but is now getting 10s. This pulls my average down alot so...
My SAT 2 chem is a 770, bio 770, and writing 690.
My SAT 1 is 2200.
I am really involved at the school over the summer have gone to many NIH labs
Can somebody review my chances? thans

Chances for combined med programs I assume?
I think that you should be in the top 5% of your class to be competitive for most med programs. I think that the progs that would be most suitable for you include Miami HPM, RPI/AMC, Penn state Jefferson, Temple, (your choice)/ Drexel...

If you are > top 3% of your class and you retake your SATs (2300+) give Rice/Baylor, Northwestern HPME, Case Western PPSP and Rochester REMS a shot; but even having perfect stats often don't suffice. Just my .02$

I believe someone on CC got into Case Western PPSP with a 2150 this year.

I think the ba/md's that are concerned with the high stats are penn state, hpme, and rochester. I had a 2160 and I got into Case and an interview for rice/baylor

Academically, you're in the running. However, what have you done to show that you really know that medicine is for you, that it is what you want to devote the rest of your life to doing? Any hospital volunteering, shadowing doctors, etc.?

yeah extracurriculars are what does it... have something that makes you stand out from the rest if it's not your scores
