MY GPA is 4.1/4.5 UW

I'm in the top 5% of my class out of about 300.

5 AP senior year
1 AP junior year
Regular classes frosh and soph years

EC's average
A couple solid activities (no leadership positions)
The rest are scattered because I started working junior year and I dont have time.

Dont know about recommendation ---> hopefully good
Dont know about essays ---> hopefully good

So, what are my chances? I want to major in engineering, and although Dartmouth isn't that strong in that deparment I'm in love with this school.

Dartmouth is decent in engineering... but all of my friends who are engineering majors do nothing but homework ALL the time.

You are in the ballpark... a lot will probably hinge on essays since your SATs are about Dartmouth's average.

Thayer Engineering isn't the VERY best but there are always other places to go to grad school. Undergrad years are about exploration... not just "getting in" a major. Believe me.

You're just about on the par/avg for Dartmouth admits... at least with stats. With "average" EC's that isn't such a good thing... hopefully you have outstanding rec's and a unique essay. Good luck.
