is CPR and first aid certified an extracurricular?

Personally i think you have pretty good chances with the research and all. SAT and GPA to boot

isnt cpr and first aid a 1 month training program?

yes, i had it in health class. Very easy and pretty much everyone did it. Thats why I'm not sure if its much of an "honor" per se.

OP: You should definitely send in a synopsis or abstract of your research, especially since you've spent so much time on it as an EC.

thanks tanman, i'll definitely send in a supplement if it'll help my application. and you're right mmei, cpr and first aid certified is not an extracurricular/honor. i just kind of added it in as a side note after volunteering and hospitals etc.

Do you think it will be worth noting?
I am also certified and now contemplating whether i should add it. I have a lot of science oriented EC's too

why not add it? it can't hurt! it just shows more dedication to the medical field if you're interested in healthcare. anything that you did in high school shouldn't be left out if it's something you value or spent time on.
