Chances

GPA: 3.7uw (Several B's...upward trend...most rigorous courseload)
Rank: 2nd Decile
ACT: 30
Non-URM Male

EC: Varsity/Club Swimming (Year Round), Model UN (Leadership Position), MSA, Science Olympiad, JV X-Country, NHS, Volunteer Work, Worked over summer (15 hours/week)

Applying to Northwestern University's SESP. My GPA is obviously low and my rank is poo since 80ish% of NU students are in the top 10%. I'm in the top 10%, but my school's ranking system is wierd, so they list me as 2nd Decile. I know it's a big reach, but how big?

Bump........

Definitely a reach. At best, a 20 to 25% chance.

Bump......

SESP? is that a special program? lol =(...

No, it's the School of Education and Social Policy.

SESP is the easiest school to get into, but that rank really makes it difficult.

Even though your GPA and such is not that great, they will take into consideration that you took the most rigorous courses. Keep up the hope!
