okay, here we go...

i am a sophomore in high school right now, and i would really love to go to northwestern, however, my GPA is kind of weak (3.54). i go to a public school, however, the competition is intense. because of that, our GPA is not weighted, we dont have a class ranking etc. also my dean told me that coleges add a weight to my GPA because of the school i go to, but i'm not sure how true that is...

my classes are:
honors english
honors spanish
advanced excelerated math
AP history
chemistry
i also get music credits for my flute and am in the wind ensemble

i took the Bio SAT II's, but i only got a 650

my ec's are:
indian classical dance
played the flute for 7 years, done NYSSMA every year, and i am in a prestigious flute club
officer (secretary) of habitat for humanity in my school
officer of the shakespeare club
i have danced for a number of years, however, i have stopped taking classes at my old dance school and now go regularly for open classes in new york city. i am devoted to my indian classical dance and will be having a debut performance in a year, for which i have been rehearsing three times a week, so far.

i know that my chances for northwestern are pretty slim, but i really want to a good college, so any other suggestions for colleges would be appreciated. i am interested in communications/journalism
