Chances?

GPA: 3.5-3.6 unweighted, 3.6-3.65 weighted
Course load: 4 Honors Classes, 5 AP classes, 3 AP self-study tests
Rigorous college prep school

ACT: Currently 26 composite (weak math, high English/Reading), but I'm retaking it and shooting for 28 at least (that's what my practice tests reflect). I may be able to get as high as a 30.

Average-Good extracurriculars.
Good recommendations.

NO ONE from Nebraska was part of the freshman class at Northeastern last year

100%. Not a joke either.

I think you have a good chance and I know that NEU likes diversity and to pull students from other states. What is your intended major? Class rank?
And by the way, no one can say "100% for any school.
The college board website says NEUs admit rate was 45%, I believe it was actually lower last year.
You should apply EA as it is non binding and be sure to show interest.
In addition, apply to a range of schools including some financial and academic safeties.

My intended major is international business, thus the co-op program is particularly enticing to me.

My school doesn't report class rank, so I won't be including that on my application.

Any idea how NEU is in regard to financial aid?

from what i hear it is very good when it comes to aid

They are pretty good when it comes to merit aid, but not financial aid. 28% of freshman get an average of $12,281 in merit aid. The school only meets an average of 64% of financial need for freshmen. I got this info from another website. Most of this info is available on the collegeboard's website.
