Chances?

GPA: 3.2 weighted, 3.1 unweighted due to a 2.3 in 9th grade. I got a 3.5 in 10th and a 3.8 in 11th, and am doing well so far this year, so I at least have an upward trend.
My high school doesn't do class rank.

SAT's: right now, 2040. Reading: 650, Math: 690, Writing: 700, But I didn't study whatsoever, and I just retook them in October and suspect I may have done significantly better.

ExtraCurriculars: No sports, but I'm in NHS, I write for the Lit Mag, I'm in the Ski/Snowboard club and have gone to a couple of other clubs on occasion. I worked as a cashier at a grocery store for 2 years. I also went to Japan for 1 month this summer as an exchange student. I'm also President of the Graphic Novel Club at my school.

AP's: At graduation, I will have taken 4 AP courses; AP US History, AP US Government, AP Physics, and AP English. I also have 5 honors courses.

Language: I will have 2 years of Japanese (and one year of Spanish), unfortunately the Japanese program wasn't created until I was already a junior.

I have one great letter of recommendation, and am currently waiting for another one though I don't know how good it will be. I also plan to submit an essay.

So what do you think are my chances of getting in, and also, how long do you think it will take for me to get my admission decision if I apply in the next week? (I've heard it's beneficial to apply early since it's rolling admissions)

Thanks!

I'd say you have a good chance of getting in (especially if you're in state). you should definitely apply asap...as far as when you'll get your decision, i think that depends on when you send in your sats, transcript, etc.

I think you have a fair chance of getting in. An increase in your SATs will definitely boost your chance of gaining admission.

I think your SATs are fine. When my daughter went to PittStart, she was told that anyone who scored over 600 on the corresponding part of the SAT did not have to take the placement test. Well, the room (and it was huge) was filled with kids waiting to take various tests. That's what I'm basing my assessment on.
