<p>I also plan to at least go out for the UD lacrosse team as a walk-on. So, what are my chances?</p>
<p>No responses in nearly a month ... hmmmm. OK, I'll take a shot at it.</p>
<p>If you're applying for ChEng or another really competitive program, my opinion is that your chances are nil. If you're NOT applying to one of the competitive programs I'd say you will probably get in, primarily because you are in-state. IMO the biggest obstacle you face from an admissions standpoint is that your record shouts "SLACKER." With your SAT scores I'd expect a GPA above 3.5 which is way above your reported GPA. The reason this is a huge red flag for admissions is that it suggests poor study habits (which makes poor students). So, if there is some external reason for your low grades (such as ADD or English being your second language) you may want to communicate this in your application and in letters of recommendation.</p>
