What exactly does an alumni admissions rep do and how are you one if you say you applied to Emory in another thread?

lol... hence my point in my previous posts

I am posting under my son's screen name. He's the one going to Emory. I graduated from Colgate in '81. Alumni admission reps go to college fairs in their geographic area, conduct non-evaluative interviews for applicants who request interviews and are briefed regularly by admission's staff on the progress of the admission's process as the year rolls out. I review this page from time to time to see if I can be helpful. I again suggest that Michael visit Colgate if he can because anyone who has gone there can tell you that just reading about it gives you little insight into what it's actually like. And yes, 650 is a little low.

Yes, you mentioned in your last post that a 650 in math is low, and I am now fully aware. There is little that can be done about it now, as it is almost january. I plan to visit colgate some time w/in the next few weeks. Thanks for the advice.

You seem so ready to dismiss the well meaning advice of others here. I know that you can't do anything about SATs now, but you wanted to know your chances. Other than that, you look like a good candidate. I hope you enjoy your visit.

Don't worry too much about that 650 in math, I got in with a 620 in math and 750 in critical reading.
