<p>i live in florida...</p>

<p>GPA: 3.3-3.4 unweighted i believe, somewhere around 3.7-8 weighted probably (my school doesn't tell us our combined gpa's often, i don't know why)</p>

<p>ACTs: 31 (with writing)</p>

<p>Senior Year Courses:
tv production 7 honors, ap statistics, economics honors, ap us government, anatomy and physiology honors, ap literature and comp, ap psychology</p>

<p>besides that i've mostly been in honors, and i've already taken 5 ap's (human geography (4), environmental science (4), language and comp (5), us history (3), european history (3))</p>

<p>High School Ranking: top 25%</p>

- pathfinder scholarship finalist for forensics/speech (its a local scholarship...someone is selected to represent the school for 10 or so different categories...final judging hasn't occured but i was nominated from my school)</p>

<p>essay topic (common app): this past summer i worked as a sleep-away camp counselor so i wrote about how the experience shaped me and how it helped spark my interest in what i plan to major in (psych) and how the skills i learned will help me in my future</p>

<p>i haven't written my nyu-specific essay yet</p>

<p>Your UW GPA will hurt, ACT looks ok.. 67% of NYU incoming freshmen were in the top 10% of their classes so I would say you're right at the edge... You're best chance at this point IMO will come from writing a very good essay...creative, technically proficient ..NYU likes people who can write well so make sure you're NYU essay is the best it can be..good luck.</p>
