hmmm ... being an Okie should help. They don't have many from Muskogee in Newark. You've a good record in many regards although academically, you've left yourself a bit exposed. I'm betting you'll make it, but they'll have some discussion about your app, perhaps. Good luck.

being from oklahoma will probably help you, your gpa is kind of low. I know a lot of people who were rejected with 3.2's and such...hopefully your location will help you out.

The fact that you've worked 20 hours a week for two years helps offset the GPA - hard to have a really high one when you work so many hours. Good luck. I like Delaware a lot.

Oklahoma and your work history helps, but GPA and ACT are both towards the 25% level for UDel. And without class rank and knowledge of your HS, UD may find it difficult to get a feel for the class difficulty. I wouldn't call it a reach, but probably a low match.

Out of curiousity, why UDel? I'm a parent, btw. A Delaware resident now, but grew up in Ponca City. Not many Oklahoma natives in this state.

My guess is he won't be taking SAT. No need. Act translates to 1680-1730 or 1120-1150. UDel might consider growing up in Oklahoma a hardship and the student a new "minority." ;)

jk. All should be as nice as Okies, generally. They're great folks, aside from getting a little nuts in Norman on a few Saturdays.

WP, I can't speak for the OP, but believe me that not all Oklahomans (not Okies, never Okies :)) are Sooner fans. Why nickname your team after cheaters, anyway?

I love the east coast, I believe that the opportunities are immensely greater than if I stay close to home. I want to attend a large university and UDel is relatively affordable in comparison to schools of similar rank and size. The school is great, I'm pleased with everything I see.

Orange Power! I cannot stand OU Football, I'm from Enid, so I tend to cheer for Oklahoma State.

Good to hear, and good luck. Nobody, I mean nobody, can fully understand what it's like to be a non-Sooner fan in Oklahoma except people who have gone through it. You find yourself put in a position where you end up saying such insane things as "well, we're MUCH better at wrestling, baseball and indoor track" (back in my day, unfortunately, the Cowboy basketball team was terrible).
