Work Experience: Started my own tennis racket stringing business

oh and applying to wharton

i would say u have a good chance....especially because of your tennis!
how does your school calculate GPAs? cause a 4.84 is really high.

4.0 for a regular class and 5.0 for any honors or ap class. i have taken every honors or ap class possible and only 2 B+'s

your in if you have been recruited

Looks like you have a very good shot to me. What's your regional or national USTA ranking?

roylemoyle are u a tennis player? i finished 07 ranked 60 in socal 18s and am about 300 for class of 2009 on tennisrecruiting.net. i dont know if this is high enough yet for penn to recruit me but bc im prob a pretty good candidate already maybe the coach will help guarantee entrance.

Yeah, I'm a tennis player in SoCal 18s too, but I blow, so I'm sure we'll never play each other. 60th is impressive for such a competitive and large section as SoCal, but I'm not sure it's good enough to get recruited at Penn. Maybe that's just because I'm friends with Ryan Thacher who's #1 in the nation. But I would suggest googling the players on Penn's roster (Men's Tennis - Roster & Bios - PennAthletics.com—The Official Website of University of Pennsylvania Athletics) to see how you match up to them when they were in high school.

ya ive already done that....i will prob be good enough to be on their roster(its a pretty big roster) but i dont know about starting. im just hoping that, since im pretty good academically that the coach can just recommend me and then ill get in. do u go to harvard-westlake? i play with chris kenney sometimes if u know him. i actually played tyler bridges(whos from thousand oaks if u know him) today. beat him 4 and 1. what are u ranked in the 18s?

i hope you're applying ED

whys that?

bump(10 chars)

Talk to the coach, even if you're aren't being recruited. He can put in a good word for you.

ya i plan on it...are u a recruited athlete?
