Dear sharkweek (clearly a Discovery Channel personality) : You two way SAT scored at 1320 is right at the midpoint of BC's acceptance range. Your class rank (which has received increased attention this year to help calibrate GPA scores) is low/average for the typical accepted student at BC - top 10% students dominate the class.

Did you take European History as a Senior or Sophomore? Your AP curriculum is missing anything from the higher mathematics and science disciplines.

Your activities are slightly light but your focus on raising cash for your collegiate experience offsets that minor blemish. Do you have any music or art to offer on your resume?

Volunteerism also seems to be missing which will be looked at by BC - you might want to paint some of your lesser paid events towards the volunteerism camp if they truly belong there.

Your profile seems to imply that you are at best a coin flip - a 50/50 prospect. If BC is holding the general class rank data is high regard among the 30,000 applications, you could well miss the cut.

Given your raising money for college, you will want to cast a wide net of schools at a variety of price points to make sure that your cash plus their aid goes as far as possible.

Please let us know how your application goes.

scottj- I was not aware that BC placed so much importance on class rank. I applied to BC, but my school does not rank officially. I would've been in the top 10% (64/740), so will this affect my application negatively, or is it a neutral factor for people whose high schools don't rank?

sharkweek- I think if you retook SATs and focused on presentation in terms of ECs and such, you could have a good chance (maybe 60/40?).

"I'm almost always working to pay off for college, jobs include:

That shows dedication to honest labor. Our generation lacks that. Yeah, sure we work, but not on the level of some of our parents when they were looking at college. Since it's too late to change anything, I hope you had your teachers talked a bit about your jobs, it might offset the relatively low scores.
