I'm applying to Fordham University for the fall
I got a 2.3 my first semester and a 3.1 my second semester, so my overall gpa is 2.7.
I did alright in high school: 32 ACT and 3.5 uw gpa
I also have a lot of volunteer hours and i am in a lot of activities at school.
Do you guys think i have any chance of getting into fordham. I realize my college gpa is pretty low, but in my essay i wrote about how i wasn't happy at my current university and how i would do much better at Fordham. Please help me.

o yea, to clarify about my grades. i got a D and a C first semester. But the rest of my grades have been A's and B's. I have completed 31 credits.

I'm not quite sure about the grades. You did will in high school, struggled the first semester and brought it up a lot the second semester. I think they could potentially view it that way. But I'm not sure.
Keep checking your e-mail. They requested more info and that's how I found out. I also got an acceptance e-mail from them. I dunno if they're sending that all at once though.
Don't call the admissions office though. I think Fordham is a school that looks negatively on that. Plus when they received your app you should have gotten a letter confirming that, but also saying to not call.
