Chances?

How hard is it to get into the Air Force Academy? My brother wants to go into the military but he isn’t very assertive–he says he’d have to do too much math at the academy.

Could you chance him or give advice? (He doesn’t know I’m doing this)

Rank: Top 10% /300

EC’s
AFJROTC Chaplin, Flight Commander, Group commander

Church Youth Group (Possibly Vice-Pres)
Church Handbell ringer

Probably a sport Senior year.
He might do something else

Awards:
MANY AFJROTC medals/ribbons

Senior Year APs: AP Euro, APUSH

There is a lot of math. My daughter is scheduled for Calc III this fall but may change her mind if not required for her degree. The Academy uses Chem, Physics, and Calc as cut classes during the first year to see if you will be able to succeed academically.

Sports aren't necessary, but 80%+ letter in a sport and many are captains in sports. If he isn't going to be assertive in the whole process, the Academy won't be too interested. It's not like he can't be quiet or anything, but he needs to show initiative and show that he really wants; this can't be something that he sorta wants.
