You definitely have a shot - Your grades look good and your EC's look strong and diverse. Your ACT score is a little on the weak side. Bowdoin might be a good fit for you since submitting test scores is optional. Are you interested in pursuing sports in college? Your athletic credentials look strong, which means you might be eligible for a "tip" in the admissions process from one or more coaches.

I agree that you're a strong candidate. Your grades and athletic ability certainly make you more competitive but I think your consistent pursuit of an interest (journalism) will go over particularly well with the admissions department. I suggest incorporating your love of writing and journalism into your application essay (either the common app's or Bowdoin's supplement), and try to mention any desire you have to write for The Orient, Bowdoin's newspaper. Plus, you would contribute to the campuses geographic diversity.

The one flaw in your application would have to be your ACT scores, which are low given that Bowdoin's average is a 32+. Still, I think that you more than compensate with your grades and awards that a lower-than-average score probably won't hurt you much.
