I'm currently attending a local university as a freshman in my second quarter. I was considering applying for transfer to NYU next year, but I'm fairly sure I wouldn't get in. My first quarter I got a 3.7, and this quarter im looking to get the same or higher. My highschool GPA was a 3.4 and my ACT is a 26. I had a couple decent EC's. What do you think?

What school are you interested in applying to?

Well, I'm interested in either business or international studies, how competitive are these programs?

pretty competitive from what i am aware of

hmmm do they have any sort of undecided school? What school would be the easiest to get into?

there is no "easiest school to get into". every school has it's quirks and facets.

gallatin is the school of individualized study, the school where people create their own major. admission is competitive because you have to demonstrate that you have enough drive to direct yourself through four years. at the end of four years, you have to do something called a colloquium, which is akin to a thesis defense.

transferring between colleges can also be difficult. one or two NYUers a YEAR transfers into Stern from another NYU college.

CAS is the most general school, the college of arts and science.
