<p>-Between a 3.67 and 3.73 GPA at the end of junior year
-weighted GPA of 5.13 (all honors classes except math)
-700 on lit, 720 on bio SAT2s
-not finished with SAT1s yet...2150+?</p>

<p>clubs:
-christian club (president)
-animal welfare club (vp)
-nhs
-social studies honors society
-science honors society
-english honors society
-a capella choir (honors)
-staff writer for school newspaper</p>

<p>employment:
-veterinary technician at a local animal hospital (xrays, bloodwork, restraining animals, fill prescriptions, etc)</p>

<p>community service:
-volunteer online newswriter and forums moderator for BestFriends Animal Society
-volunteer at Ozanam Women/Children's Shelter
-volunteer at local vets (before i got the job)
-volunteer with the salvation army
-possible habitat for humanity trip this summer?</p>

<p>total=400+ hours?</p>

<p>I always tell students there is really no magical formula that will promise that you will be accepted. Admissions reviews each application and they want a mix of students with different interests.</p>

<p>Grades are always important as well as your activities. However, with thousands of students applying to the university every year many students that very well may be qualified are not accepted.</p>

<p>Just remember…the essay is the one thing on your application where you can really express yourself. Take some time and put a lot of thought into it!</p>
