Chances?

SAT: 730 in all 3
GPA: 3.98 unweighted, 4.63 weighted

-No rankings in our school of 2000 people, but probably valedictorian.

-AP's:
(10) US Government
(11) World History, Comparative Government, Psychology, English
(12) US History, Human Geography, Calculus BC, English

Leadership and Clubs:
-Editor-in-Chief of Literary Magazine (a yearly publication of short stories, poems, screenplays, photography, art, etc.)
-VP Model UN
-VP Tri-M Music Honor Society
-Pit orchestra for Musicals 4 years
-Section leader for Flute section (first chair for two years)
-Mock Trial 4 years
-National Honor Society and Quill and Scroll Honor Society
-High School Ambassadors 2 years

There's more of course, but that's the general idea. I haven't started an entirely new charity or won the award for best foreign jig done on a tree top while playing a fiddle for 7 years running or anything like that, so this is basically all I've got to make me stand out.

Your chances sound good! Your SATs are above the average at Wesleyan (I think Math is 690, Verbal 710, and Writing 720), your gpa and rank are excellent, and your activities sound good. I think Wesleyan would be a good match school for you. You should check out The Gatekeepers by Jacques Steinberg; it gives a complete and uncensored account of the admissions process at Wesleyan. It is both informative and interesting. The only problem is that it was written about the incoming students of about five years ago (maybe four, maybe six, I'm not sure), and Wesleyan has gotten even more selective since then.

alright, thanks, i will definitely check that out!
