Chances !~?

Since I’ve done it to every Ivy, here it goes…! LOL

Medical Magnet School
San Antonio

Rank Near Top Ten Percent (~22/200, so probably not in the top ten percent )
Unweighted GPA 3.88
Weighted GPA 3.95 (97.000)
ACT 29 or a 30
SAT 700+ M, 650+ CR, 650+ W

HYLO (Hispanic Club)

I’d apply ED.

bump times ten

Glucose, that was kind of harsh, don't you think?

I would probably either up those test scores, or do something that will make you glow in the eyes of the Adcoms, and do it soon. I think you might be able to pull the "well-rounded" role, except right now, you have a kind of "octogonally"-circular, almost rounded, type thing going on. Try to ACE those Essays and UP those Ec's; find something other than Medical (that can make you seem too one dimensional). Something that you can completely indulge, then bathe in...(thats a new one for me...2 pts...lol)

If you can do this you may up your chances to around 50%. I think the only thing that may hold you back is, don't take this the wrong way, that you haven't done enough in the "all around" perspective.

--Best of Luck to you though--
---I hope to see you there :) -- (If I can get there...lol)
-----later

(note: "Octogonally"= not a real word...I had to look it up...lol)

"Glucose, that was kind of harsh, don't you think?"

What did I do?

I'm still A newbie, I may have misunderstood the meaning of "bump"...can you explain it?

(I'm so embarrased)

bump is just used to get your thread to the top, so people will see you first.

Sorry :(, bump= good. :) ..lol

ull prob get a skolarship

lmfao...that is funny.

b.u.m.p. = bring up my post

No, I think you have an excellent chance ED. You're from one of the less well represented states, you're an URM (don't worry about your name ) and you have very decent SAT scores. Try to squeeze into the top ten percent by the end of this year if you can. That makes a difference to them for schools that rank.

I won't make top 10 percent; it's only 20 people, and the top 12 have 99+ (from rumors). So....I can't elevate to the top 10 percent. What if I don't take the SAT, but take the ACt and get a 30 (taking this December).

All this predicted data is false: "Top Ten in Regions UIL Spelling (1st Discrict)
All-State Tenor Choir
1st Latin Grammar State (1st Regionals)
2nd HOSA State Medical Debate"

I'm going to be 1st District Spelling (ironically, I misspelled it)
I didn't apply to All-State
I'm not in Latin this year, probably going to do Spanish Spelling Bee, top 3 I'd assume
and I'm going to do Medical Spelling, probably top 3

I'm the president of HOSA for my chapter
Connected with one HOSA chapter for a group project- - - we knit for the nursing homes.

Probable grades for the semester (looking like it)

US Hist A- (only regulars offered)
Eng AP A
Stats AP B+
Medical Rotation A+ (yay)

Physics AP B-
Concert Choir A+
Precal D H A
Medical Rotation A+ (yay)

Just remembered, that my gpa unweighted is a 3.71, weighted 4.02, 100 point weighted scale 95.445

REbump....30 ACT

which school/program r u applyin to?

Biology maybe?

I had my GPA wrong.

Unweighted: 3.77
Weighted: 4.02 (95.4445)

I can't choose if I like Brown or UPenn better? Any comments?

I think my rank is like (35/200), to be on the safe side.

Wharton Chances?

bump really means "bring up my post?" Never knew that. heh.
