i think you have a great chance :-) you have great ec's, and your hispanic background will help! however, admission to any top tier college/university is kinda hard to predict.

good luck!

Your name is familiar- I think you posted your stats before (but they were different- like you were in top 15-20 something and got extremely high test scores, regardless of your URM status). How many honors and APs did you take? Because your weighted GPA is really low- unless your school puts low weight on rigorous courses. Otherwise, I agree with other responses- you have a chance. Good luck.

not to be a downer or anything, but can someone explain exactly why glucose has a great chance? i mean, the marks kinda aren't there, and EC's? well...

I'll have like 9 AP tests like by graduation, not all classes though (scheduling conflicts), and as many honors as possible (scheduling conflicts though). I've posted all over the Ivies, that is how people know my name. I'm only going to be a junior, so my stats aren't for sure. Also, we don't really do weighted. So I figured whatever grade I got on the 100 scale would be weighted, and then put on the 4.0 scale. Like 85 in an honors class would be made into a 90, which is an A, which is a 4.0. Does Harvard recalculate averages? If so, how? I have a chance..yay! :-)

Try to stay within the top 10%. Also, published research? Make this a big deal! I say try going for a leadership position in clubs that you are committed to. You've got some time to do something spectacular in areas you're interested in.

yes, glucose, you got lots of AP's. but i still don't get why you STAND out above all the other posters with like 4.0's, 2200+'s, EC's etc.

yes, you do have the research, but is it that mucH?

I'm trying to stay in the top ten percent...but my school is super competitive...and I hope I can keep up (rank by 100 point scale) with the other people, but at the same time it is decreasing (people think its too hard and leave).

:-) I hope Harvard still thinks I'm good, even though I probably won't be in the top 10 percent....I'm trying to look on the bright side!
