chances?

3.7 UW
29 ACT
out of state
applying to LSA
male
great extracurriculars
-elite volleyball player, but that really doesnt matter since michigan doesnt have a team

i know my stats arent that impressive but just wondering....

slight reach

bump…

I agree, slight reach. Make sure you apply early, that will increase your chances of getting in. If I got a dime every time someone said that for U of M I’d be a billionare. So many qualified people screw themselves over by applying late so don’t make that kind of a mistake.

thank you very much for the advice

Agreed with collegebound. What kind of classes are you taking? U of M looks at class rigor too.

well freshman and sophomore year i didnt really take many impressive classes besides being on the honors science and math tracks, in my jr. year im taking 5 honors classes and AP bio, and im taking a all honors with a few AP’s next year as well, in case this info helps im from a semi-competitive private school, once again thanks for the feedback everyone

Not even in college yet and already a future banker. Impressive. (I don’t know how serious you are, but, if you weren’t planning on it already, make sure you try to get into Ross if banking is actually your goal.)

Yup! Ya I plan on applyig to Ross but I’ll do Econ if I were to not get in,
I hear michigan has a solid Econ program as well

It’s pretty good, but it’s going to be much harder to get noticed by banks if you’re not in Ross.

Very slight reach. If you have any major leadership in your ECs, I might be willing to say match. Good luck and apply early! (I feel like a parrot repeating all this)

Slight reach/match, but Michigan is switching to the common application next year, so I don’t know how admission statistics will be.
