chances?

Ok I have all my requirements set, I have taken all the classes I need to take.

My SAT scores: 670 math, 580 CR, 560 writing

I have run cross country for 3 years and am now the captain of the team.

I have a little bit over 100 hours of community service.

However my problem is my GPA. my weighted is 3.48, unweighted is 2.75. ya im pretty ashamed of my unweighted.

Do you think i can get into washington? maybe for summer?

Your SAT is pretty good. I assume your ECs are pretty good. UW doesn’t look at weighted.

However, the thing that you and I have in common, is that we both have low GPAs, but high class rigor (judging from your weighted GPA).

I have had a lot of people on CC and in real life say that I don’t have a good shot. But you know what? Just make your activity sheet really good, make your essays really, really, really good, and maybe write in the additional section. And then you will at least have a decent shot. There isn’t a minimum GPA requirement to get into UW and hell, you don’t even need a high school diploma. UW accepts anyone that is truly “diverse”. So try to show that in your application.

I am aiming to get into UW too this year. Good luck to you.
