Chances?

My daughters stats read as follows: What are her chances of getting into UVM, BU, Fordham Richmond University, UC San Diego and GWU. Any other colleges someone can recommend that you may believe she can get into ? One of her best strengths is public speaking and we hope to schedule interviews for most of her matches.

Freshman GPA: 2.92
Sophomore GPA: 2.95
Junior GPA: 3.76

SAT: 2020 2nd Time
SAT II World History: 630

3 Year Varsity Athlete
Many EC's. President and founder of Charity

Is she in-state VA, CA, or other? Is she a senior? What is her class rank or decile? What school is UVM? I’m not aware of any of the schools on her list doing interviews, except Fordham, but I’m not sure being a good public speaker is necessarily an advantage.

She is out of state for every school. She is a senior. Her school does not do class ranks. UVM = University of Vermont.

Oh, Vermont… sorry! She has a really good shot there. They seem to accept a high percentage of applicants and her SAT scores are on the high side, but it may come down to her GPA. BU, GWU, and Richmond are reaches mostly because of her GPA. Her chances improve a little for Fordham and even more so for USD. Schools will look at an upward trend, but she had two consecutive years of underachievment. Hopefully, she is showing a continued upswing. If any of these schools omit Freshman year that would certainly help her cause. Did/does she take a rigorous courseload? Did you list weighted or un-weighted GPA? Her 3-year varsity athletic EC as well as the others should help her, but it will not off-set a “lower than normal” GPA.
