Chancing - Yale, Georgetown, Stanford, UChicago, Duke, MIT

Yes, yes, your typical Asian applying to elite institutes. Albeit a slightly paranoid and insecure one when it comes to college.

SAT: 800M, 750R, 770W, Total: 2320
SAT II: 800 MathII, 770 USH, 760 Bio M
AP: 5 Calc BC, 5 Subscore AB, 5 APUSH, 5 Bio, 5 Chinese, 5 WHAP, 4 Psych :(, 4 English :(
(I misbubbled my Psych exam and discovered it as the proctor was picking up scantrons. Haha?)
GPA: 5.214 weighted 9/10th, 5.429 weighted 11th; no unweighted at my school

Courses (primarily A/B) --
Freshman: straight A; all honor courses, including precalc
Soph: straight A; 4 APs, 2 honors

After two innocent and jovial years, I changed schools! My new school runs on trimesters instead of semesters.

Junior: 8 A/A-, 7 B/B+; excluding one class, all classes have course code 400+, which translates to AP and college level, math courses included multivariable calculus and graph theory, science courses include physics b, medicinal chemistry, and research in biology

Grades haven't been released for senior year. I have straight As as of now but that could change; some of them are border As.
Senior: current courses include physics c, mathematical modeling (graduate level course), statistics, and some other courses whose course titles only have meaning in my school's lingo

And now onto extracurriculars.
- Speech and Debate President (20-25 hours a week; it's a huge time commitment)
- Debate Tourneys (I only started junior year, so some regional titles and breaks at national tournaments, haven't qualified to NFL nats or CFLs)
- Piano (used to practice 2 hrs/day, regional and state titles, no nat'l titles)
- Math (Duke Math Meet, AIME, AMC, etc, but not very high placements individually)
- Attache (leadership position in office of institutional advancement at my school, essentially the fundraising and alumni connections)
- Red Cross (volunteered over the summer)
- Student Gov't (budget committee, but no senator position in 11th/12th grade; in 9th grade, was freshman class president at old school)
- Track/XC (I was pretty fail at it; that's all I'll say)
- Internship at NIDA (this was the summer before 11th grade, 10 week paid internship)

I want to go into PoliSci and Law, which sort of explains my list of universities. I also have Chinese parents, which also sort of explains my list.

Edit: I keep on forgetting stuff. I'm applying to Yale EA and everywhere else regular.

sounds like you’ll get into everywhere but stanford mit and yale are reaches. If you apply to all 3 though, you’re bound to get into one of them

chance me back

University of Chicago Early Admission Chance

You have a very good chance at all schools, especially duke imo.

you can do it julia :D

Yale MIT and Stanford are reaches, but still good possibilities
Georgetown, UChicago and Duke i think really good chances of you getting in

Awesome ECs and your GPA scoring is kinda confusing, but sounds good

Haha about the typical Asian comments

So7 Bs junior year? Where does that put you rank wise?

Jesus. Speech and Debate lasts 4-5 hours a day at your school? 3-4 including Saturday? Is this all year round?
