<p>Well you're a minority and you have a solid GPA and your ACT is in Vanderbilt's range, so I'd say you have a great chance. Improve that ACT and you're more or less in.</p>
<p>GapYear'd, from your previous posts, I think you are a special enough case that your chances are better than would be expected on the basis of simply listing your stats and course work. Your essays should say a lot about you, about the many hours you have spent in libraries "self-educating", about your volunteer and community work, and of course about your enthusiasm for the FIRST Robotics program. I know you are concerned about your math background, and at one time you were questioning applying to engineering programs. Is that still the case?</p>
<p>I think you should apply, no matter what kind of response you get from other posters on this thread. I have read enough of your other posts to think you can find a place at almost any campus, and the experience will benefit both you and the university you attend.</p>
