Change major for application ( Joint engineering major to regular engineering major) UCB

<p>I was wondering if it is possible or to late to change my joint major for the CoE in UCB to a regular engineering major? Hopefully, I am not to late! </p>

<p>Hmm, I honestly don’t know. I suggest that you see if the application site will allow you to do that. If not, I suggest that you contact the UC application office(Or contact UC Berkeley? I don’t know, sorry) and see if you can have it changed.</p>

<p>If <em>that</em> doesn’t work, if worst comes to worst…just wait until you’re admitted(I hope you do get in!) and then see if you can have your major changed before your first semester at UC Berkeley or during your first semester.</p>

<p>I wish I could be more helpful, sorry. This is just what I would do if I were in your situation.</p>

<p>Thanks for the fast reply. I will try the items advised. Worst comes to worst, I honestly wouldn’t mind doing the joint major. I am just always contemplating on what to do. Thanks. </p>

<p>You cannot change your major during the application period.</p>

<p>Are you a transfer student? Since you applied to a joint engineering major which is only offered to transfers, I’m assuming you are a transfer student. </p>

<p>If you are a transfer student, you are not able to change majors within the College of Engineering.</p>

<p>“Transfer students are not eligible to change majors.”</p>

<p>If you are a first-year applicant, you can apply to change your major after one semester.</p>

<p>“Students in the College of Engineering must complete a minimum of one semester at UC Berkeley before they will be considered for a change of major.”</p>
