Change majors?

Hi,
I have been admitted to Lehigh School of Biz and Economics in the major of Economics. Anyways, now I want to study finance major of the school. So, I wonder whether or not it is acceptable for me to change my major. Should I call the admission office and request for this change?
I am really confused now. Please give me some help.
Thanks in advance.

Sweetie,
Congratulations on your Lehigh admission. Right now, Economics is your intended major. After your second semester you will need to formally declare your major. At that time, you can choose Finance.

Thank Mominva for your useful advice! ^_^ !
One more question: Is it difficult to transfer between 2 particular colleges in Lehigh university? And, How and when can I make this change?
I really appreciate your help.

According to their website, students can easily transfer. I would recommend trying courses in your fields of interest before doing a formal switch. You do not have to transfer into a particular college to enroll in courses there.

I changed majors before I got admitted. Just call or e-mail the Admission Office. Sometimes you need to tell them so that they can set you on the right path depending on the program you want to do. I switched from Business Economics to the dual-degree Computer Science and Business program.

How do you like that, Jim Bob? It's a newly created program, right?

I did not start it yet... I enter this year.

But from the looks of it, the program looks like it gives you quite a formidable double degree. The curriculum does not give much room for diversity, however, and it is quite challenging and technical intensive. Be ready to crunch numbers and code in new (computer) languages.

I am taking 21 credits of classes during Lehigh's summer sessions to get a head start and make room for other interests such as history, military science, and theatre.
