I recently got admitted to my first choice major Aeronautical Engineering Technology. However, after some recent research on my course, I felt that the Aeronautical Engineering program from the college of engineering would be a better choice for me. Is it possible to request a change in major after I have been selected? Would they re-look my application to see if I would be able to get into the college of engineering? If I ask them to do so, it is risking my already guaranteed major at the polytechnic institute?
I’m going to be frank that the stats you posted in your chance me are too low for Purdue engineering. It would be highly unlikely that you would be accepted at this late of a date. Engineering is much more competitive than the university as a whole.
I don’t think asking for the review would impact your polytechnic admission but go ahead and ask admissions.
