Change to Pass/Not Pass Class?

For some reason, I am struggling in one of my general BIO class...(in Top 20th Rank University)

Is it a good idea to change the class to "Pass/Not Pass" and purposely "Not Pass" the class, so I can retake it again w/ letter grade for better grade?

honestly, does that sound like a good idea? to fail intentionally (yes, NP=F when someone looks at your transcript, even if it doesn’t affect your GPA)… I think you can answer this for yourself. If not, do some research on SDN and use your clinical judgment. Hint: retaking classes should be a last resort

I’m pretty sure that no pass = F on AMCAS, you could check their policies online if you like Regardless, it is not a good idea to fail or not pass. Rally as much as you can and try to get a B at least. If you are doing terribly now, chances are you aren’t going to get an A on a retake now.

It’d be better to take a W.
