Change to SRAR?

My son applied to TAMU in early August before school started. He submitted his SRAR and has all green check marks and his app is “under review”. He decided to drop from AP Calculus to Regular Calculus. Does he need to re-submit his SRAR and how will this affect his “In Review” application status? Thank you in advance for your help/suggestions.

Funny, my son made the same decision - he switched from AP Calc BC to Calc BC Honors (we homeschool, and the new course will track the BC curriculum, and he’s still going to take the AP exam; the AP class was a little beyond his ability and the teacher was not engaged like we wanted). If you go into AIS, click on the “Contact Us” tab and then “Ask a Question” and simply notify them there of the change. We did this based on the following FAQ on the TAMU website:

If your schedule changes, you should update your SRAR if it has not been submitted. To make changes to the SRAR, simply log in to the SRAR website with the email address and password used to create your original SRAR. If you have submitted the SRAR then contact the Office of Admissions using the ‘Contact Us’ – ‘Ask a Question’ feature in AIS, use subject code SRAR, and note the changes.

He was already admitted, but we wanted to be above board. We got a reply back after a couple of days, saying thank you and it wouldn’t affect his admission decision.

No need to. But if dropping the class cause the change of High school diploma type, then you will need to inform admission via AIS.

Just to be clear, @darkhorsemw is correct, OP’s S has to contact admissions with this info.

Read carefully, only if it has not been submitted. Once submitted it is locked.

If changing class cause change of diploma type (e.g. from Distinguished to Foundation), then you need to report it via AIS.

Op said the SRAR was submitted.

Yes, so there is no more update in SRAR.
OP just change AP to Honor, the same Math credit without changing Diploma type, OP can still inform TAMU via AIS, will get response it is fine.
