Ok so I’m currently a male freshman enrolled at the University of Denver. To make a long story short i have suffered from health issues my first year which haven’t allowed me to enjoy my college experience. One of the reasons i chose Denver was because I wanted to take advantage of the mountains and outdoorsy/sportsy culture. Because of my health issues I haven’t been able to do any of this. Both me and my parents are paying a lot of money to go to this school. Im from Minnesota and want to transfer the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Im wondering whether i would get in or not. I applied in high school and got accepted. My high school GPA was a 3.7 W I think and my act was a 29. My first trimester at college hasn’t gone to plan due to depression and lack of motivation. I ended up with a 3.0 while only taking three classes by the end as i dropped one a couple weeks before the trimester ended. I can of course bring it up to finish the year as its only a third of my GPA this year. What are my chances and what do I need to do to get accepted. Thanks!
Can I please get a response
@Eman2525 It depends on which college you are trying to transfer into. CSE, CBS, and Carlson are a little more difficult than CLA or the other colleges. You can look at what the requirements are for transfers when you look up which college you are trying to transfer into. Do you know what you want your major to be?
I’m undecided so I would like to apply to the liberal arts college. Thanks for responding!
@Eman2525 hopefully these links will help you: https://admissions.tc.umn.edu/transfer/cla.html

best of luck!
Your chances are always going to be better with higher grades than lower grades. You might want to take some time off and address the depression and lack of motivation issues. Not sure a change of college is going to solve that.
yea I understand that. Its just I’d rather be paying 27K to be depressed than 42K if that makes sense. I also have some lifelong friends there.
