I’m an econ major and just found out that revelle college at ucsd requires me to take 5 science classes for graduation. Does anyone know if it’s possible/how hard it is to switch to one of the other colleges at ucsd that doesn’t require that?
Also, I want to pick up a CS minor and at revelle college I would need a total of 26-27 classes vs 22-23 at other colleges to graduate. If I took 4 classes a quarter at revelle it would still take me over two years to finish. Would that makes my chances better for switching?
I believe you have to find someone from the college you want to transfer to and then you can switch. I didn’t know any of the colleges required that many classes for a transfer student. My D was in Warren college (as a transfer) and only had to take two upper division classes outside her area major and the Warren writing class.
Revelle has tough requirements, so finding someone to switch may be hard. You need to ask your adviser.
