I recently received acceptance to UCSD for fall 2013 as an Econ major which I am ecstatic about. However I was admitted under Revelle College and I just realized that they require five science classes as part of your GE. This would be a huge inconvenience for me. I sent an e-mail off to the address in the packet and explained the situation and requested to me moved to a different college.

Do you think I have a good chance of getting into another college? I gave them a list in order of preference with Muir and Warren at the top. But pretty much any college would be better than Revelle.

What you have to do to move into a different college is to complete Revelle’s writing program and prove to the them that switching colleges would help you graduate faster. Here is more information:

I’m assuming the writing program is the five course sequence? So I have to complete the five-course sequence to prove I don’t need to take the five course sequence?

How is it possible to graduate in two years when they muck up your schedule with these GE requirements that don’t articulate to CCs?
