I was just accepted to UIUC for bioengineering. I’m still not completely sure about the engineering discipline I want to pursue. How hard would it be to switch to mechanical, aerospace, or chemical engineering?
No clue, but I wanted to ask a similar question. Since ChemE is in LAS, would it be as easy to switch into another engineering major as someone in the engineering school (with the exception of jumping through the bureaucratic hurdles)? I can see myself switching over to Civil/environmental engineering from cheme so I was curious.
If I remember correctly from what I’ve read on CC, some majors are harder to switch into than others like bioeng. So I think it would depend on the engineering discipline.
