<p>I want to change my letter grade option in Astronomy to a P/NP. It is not for my major, so I was wondering if there is any downside to changing the grading option? I don't want it to mess up with my GPA but people who look at my transcript won't think I'm just lazy right? (I'm a freshman in my first semester btw)</p>
<p>they (im assuming grad schools...) wont look down on it unless you change to a major where the astro class is a prereq (in which case the class must be taken for a letter grade)....also, in l&s i believe you can only take 1/3 of ur total units this way.</p>
