Hi,

For freshman year I studied at a prestigious high school (very selective, popular in the area, and is a HYP feeder school) but didnt quite like it since there were not enough ECs to my liking and the people were kind of "over-the-top".

I changed to a much more comfortable high school for my sophomore year which is apparent from my increased involvement in clubs and such. The high school, however, was significantly less prestigious than the prior one.

Now for my junior year, I have moved to a different country! I am enjoying the high school here and am doing well.

How would three schools in four years hurt me?

Or could it play in my favor? For example, since I am a US citizen, I am hoping my studing abroad will indicate "international experience".

Thanks!

I don't really think that colleges can hold your HS-changing against you, since it's ultimately your parents' decision. However, they can hold a lower GPA, poor ECs, or bad test scores against you. I'm not sure that being at a HS in a different country will help you. Did you have to pick up another language to get along there?

I don't think it would hurt you because moving is something that is out of your control. It may make it harder for them to follow you transcript, so they may just focus more on the last school you went. Well, I guess they were going to focus on that anyway since that is probably where you are going to go your junior/senior, and those are the most important. And like the poster above me said, if you can rely take advantage of that school (by learning another language and taking advantage of things they offer that insn't in America, like EC's, volunteer work , and and a different cirriculum/class structure) then it could be in your favor.
