Hi guys, Im a current English/Literature thinking of attending UCSC next fall. I was wondering would it be unrealistic to change my major to Marine Biology? I haven't taken any bio/chem/advanced math classes since high school. (I took stats at cc which was really easy). What Im asking is would I be able to change it into Marine bio? I know I would have to start from scratch, and I really do not want to stay another year at CC.

If you don’t want to stay at CC, don’t do it. If you’re really passionate about Marine Biology and don’t care much for English anymore, however, I think you should definitely consider doing it.

Most UC’s have a strict no changing into a life science policy. The best thing to do is call UCSC’s Marine Biology department
